The Game of Redemption is a blog dedicated to the many forces at work in the world of Major League Baseball. Much of what you will find here focuses on the non-statistical elements of the game, and are referred to here as the intangibles. The site’s name is a tribute to the nature of baseball, as one of the most redeeming traditions in American culture.

Baseball is a game of redemption…a guy can strike out three times but still hit a homerun in his last at bat to win the game. The best hitters make outs 70 percent of the time. In baseball, failure is built in. But that also leaves a lot of room for redemption.” -Peter Bavasi* (The Curse of Rocky Colavito by Terry Pluto)
